What is your blog and why did you set it up?
I’m the person with the oddly named blog, Sugarpuffish. I started blogging because I was looking for a creative outlet and had spare time on my hands. I did a small amount of research before I started but I could not find anyone recommending products for sensitive skin, eczema and allergies so I spotted a gap in the “market”.
Why should people choose natural/organic beauty products?
I believe that there are too many unnecessary ingredients in skincare, many of which are causing a rise in the number of people dealing with skin reactions/eczema/dermatitis.
What advice would you give to people who are new to natural/organic beauty?
It can be tricky to get your head around ingredient lists so my advice is take your time and Google is your best friend. Do a little research and decide which ingredients you do or do not want in your skincare products. Write down those ingredients and keep it somewhere handy so you can refer to it when shopping.
Do you have a daily beauty routine, and if so, could you share it with us?
My morning and evening routine is very simple, I cleanse, tone and moisturise. I also make sure my products contain the bests ingredients for my skin type. Skincare routines do not have to be complicated or a chore!
What is the best piece of beauty advice you have ever been given?
I’m usually the one giving out the advice! Never go to bed with makeup on has always stuck in my mind over the years. Even as a teen when I came home slightly tipsy I would still cleanse my skin.
What are your top 3 favourite beauty products?
Can you share some top tips on glowing from the inside (Wellness) and out (skincare & cosmetics)?
Having allergies and eczema means I truly believe that what you put into your body effects your skin. I also suggest “less is more” both for ingredients in your skincare and the food you eat. I’m not perfect but I do my best where I can.
What is the most exciting beauty invention you have seen this year?
Bath Spa Skincare launched a Rejuvenating Powder Serum which I think is a unique concept that I haven’t seen before. LJ Naturals offer their balm cleanser in a pump dispenser, not rock science but certainly differs from the normal jars. I am also a huge fan of Konjac Sponge and the Angel Cloth is an innovative addition to their range.
Why did you decide to set up GGG?
Last year we organised a meet up and were approached by a couple of brands wanting to come along and talk to us about their products. Sadly, we couldn’t accommodate them at that event but at the start of this year we decided to explore the offers and GGG grew from there.
What are you most looking forward to about GGG?
I am looking forward to meeting up with bloggers but also listening to brand speakers. Often when you attend events your time with brands is short and sweet so the idea of having quality time with them excites me. I also hope to expand my knowledge of the 5 brands attending.
Sentences to finish.
