Cacao Energy Bites + Green Smoothies To Help You Glow

It’s not often I write much about what I eat and the lifestyle that I lead, but it’s something I know more of you wanted to know about. You wanted to get to know me on a more personal level which I think is actually really cool. Because sometimes when you’re blasting out content on YouTube or on email, it’s hard to know what you want unless you tell me. So this is a hint / encouragement to email, comment on my videos, DM or tweet me. I love hearing from you!

Moving onto what you’re actually here for though today. I’m a huge fan of snacking smarter and getting more vegetables into your diet quicker and easier so you don’t have to worry that you’re low in nutrients on a daily basis. It’s hard getting all those veggies into your diet sometimes, so if I can make it simple, easy, quick and delicious (like chocolate smoothie / green milkshake type yummy) then I’m all in. Full disclaimer, I have a sweet tooth. I LOVE anything sweet. So whilst the smoothie recipe below along with the energy bites will be nutritious and delicious, they will also be super sweet and delightful. I’m good like that. If it doesn’t taste good, then I’m not making it.

Green Smoothie of dreams.

1 Floret of Broccoli

1 Handful of Spinach

1 Banana

1 Cup of ice

1 Teaspoon nut butter

1 Teaspoon honey

1 Cup of any mylk

1 Cup of water

Additional options

1/2 Teaspoon wheatgrass

2 teaspoons chia seeds


Mix in a blender and enjoy!



Cacao Energy Bites

1 Cup of almonds

2 Cups of dates (medjool will make them taste a little better but normal dates soaked in water will do just fine)

4 Tablespoons cacao

2 Scoops chocolate protein powder (NuZest is my personal preference)

2 Tablespoons coconut oil


Blend the almonds in a food processor first so they are broken up, then add all the ingredients into the blender until combined. Roll into bite sized chunks and enjoy!

These are seriously some of my favourite things to have during the day, they really do make me glow inside and out.
